OKLAHOMA CITY -- Abandoned vehicles need to be moved from the roadways or they will be impounded, the City announced Saturday.

Owners of abandoned vehicles that are blocking lanes of traffic are asked to move their vehicles. Unmoved vehicles that become a safety hazard for traffic will eventually be towed by a wrecker service at the owner's expense, which could cost around $200.

Seventy percent of the City's snow routes are now plowed, a city representative said.

Many downtown streets have been plowed in preparation for Saturday night's Thunder basketball game.

City street crews and contractors will continue to plow and salt snow routes until the hazardous conditions have passed.
