Fire Crews Battle House Fire in Northwest Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Fire crews battled a large house fire in Northwest Oklahoma City late Saturday evening.

Firefighters arrived at Northwest 30th Street and Hammond Avenue to find the home fully involved in flames.

One person was inside the home at the time of the fire, according to fire officials. Firefighters were able to get the person out and said the victim is expected to be OK.

Fire fighters said they were able to extinguish the blaze fairly quickly because the home was being remolded, and there were very few walls in the home.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
