Metro Firefighters Battle 3 Apartment Fires

Metro firefighters faced a busy night Friday when three apartment fires broke out nearly within the same hour.

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Metro firefighters faced a busy night Friday when three apartment fires broke out nearly within the same hour.

The first fire broke out in Midwest City at the Preston Park Apartment, 3816 N. Oak Grove Drive

Several families were displaced. No injuries were reported.

The second fire broke out at the Wentwood at Macarthur Apartments, 5001 NW 10th St.

Fire officials said an officer on patrol spotted the fire. The officer then assisted families on the second floor who were lowering their kids to the ground. Three adults also jumped from the second floor balcony.

One woman had cuts to her arm. No other injuries were reported.

Fire fighters responded to a third fire at the Tinker Diagonal Apartments, 419 Tinker Diagonal.

Fire crews arrived to find flames shooting out of the roof of one of the apartments.

Several families were displaced. No injuries were reported.
