Firefighters Battle Apartment Blaze

OKLAHOMA CITY – Firefighters battled a blaze at the Belle Isle Terrace Apartments Monday night.

The apartments, located at 4853 N. Blackwelder Avenue, had visible flames and smoke coming from the complex when firefighters arrived.

Police were on the scene to assist with traffic issues near the NW Expressway and 48th Street.

Fire officials were able to gain control of the fire. Red Cross was called to the scene.

It is unclear what caused the fire. No injuries were reported.

The total number of units damaged was not released.
