OKLAHOMA CITY – If you’re craving a cheap, delicious lunch, forget about driving to your local diner or favorite drive-in, let the food come to you. Lunch trucks around the metro are bringing in the hungry crowds.

“First time we're doing the job over here, saw the truck parked in the street and today is the day to try it,” said Danny Stone.

For a few bucks you can get a drink and a hot bite straight from the grill.

“Not a bad price, tacos for $2.50, not bad,” said lunch trucks customer M. T. Berry.

“Nowadays being on the job is the main thing so I don’t get much lunch time and can get back into work quicker,” Stone said.

From the Pop’s 66 trucks to some of the tacos trucks around town, there is plenty of traditional fare, and some interesting choices like meat fused with flavors of East meets West.

“We decided to mix the Mexican cuisine with Korean cuisine,” said Helen Han, the Kogi Shop BBQ Truck owner.

They're called Kogi Taco, aka Korean meat tacos or burritos. This couple from Los Angeles left the news business to cram themselves in a small kitchen and cook what they know and love.

“We both worked for a Korean station. I was a reporter and he was a camera man. That’s how we kinda met,” Han said.

And now the Hans have set up shop in Oklahoma City.

“We thought L.A. is not a good place for family living so we decided to move down here. It's more relaxed and more of a family environment,” Han said.

So the couple started a small business on wheels that’s bringing a new flavor to the city where some foodies are looking to satisfy their hunger and curiosity.

“Once they try it they come back and we start coming back and now we're pretty steady,” Han said.

Many of the lunch trucks around the metro tweet their locations daily. Follow the Pop’s 66 truck, Big Truck Tacos, Odelay Tacos and the Kogi Shop BBQ Truck on Twitter.

Eat Around OKC’s Twitter account also has some of the specials and hot deals going around at area restaurants if you can’t find a lunch truck close by.
