EDMOND, Oklahoma -- An Edmond event center was forced to close leaving a bride-to-be without reception hall and money.
The popular Edmond event center is "Sellers'."
The Oklahoma Tax Commission basically forced them to stop doing business after they became behind in paying their sales tax. In fact, they never paid more than $60,000 in sales tax to the state.
NEWS 9's Consumer Watch team became involved after a bride-to-be tried to call Sellers’, only to find their phone had been disconnected.
She was scheduled to have a January reception there, and she said she had already paid them $525 in deposits.
Watch NEWS 9 tonight at 10 p.m. to find out what the owner has to say about all of this.
