2 Logan County Jailers Accused of Raping Inmate

GUTHRIE, Oklahoma -- Two Logan County jailers are accused of raping a female inmate.

Rahmel Jeffries and Alexander Mendez turned themselves in to authorities Wednesday and are being held on $20,000 bond. They each face two counts of rape and two counts of sodomy.

The Logan County Sheriff's Office has asked the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to take over the investigation.

According to court documents, both men have admitted going into the woman's cell on Oct. 9 and having sex with her.
