EDMOND, Oklahoma – Court documents reveal a gruesome confession from the man accused of killing Edmond's "Bicycle Bob."

It took a few hours, but after the violent murder, the man suspected of killing "Bicycle Bob" turned himself in. An arrest affidavit reveals a detailed confession.

The quiet alley bundled between several Edmond businesses was Dwite Morgan's home. It’s also were the 54-year-old, known in Edmond as "Bicycle Bob," was murdered.

Court documents show Morgan got into a fight with Travis Monroe Jim, a 20-year-old who also is homeless.

According to the affidavit, Jim said he fell asleep on Morgan's make-shift bed after a day of drinking and didn't want to get up. That's when the two began fighting, and Jim said he attacked Morgan with a knife.

Once on the ground, Jim took a hammer and hit Morgan in the head at least two times to make sure he was dead, according to the affidavit.

Jim told police he covered up the body and walked to a nearby Walgreens where he stole food and began to feel sick. He was picked up by police at a convenience store and booked for public intoxication.

After he was released, Jim said his nightmares about what happened drove him to confess.

About 400 people attended a vigil Monday night in Morgan's honor. Bryce Camps said he organized the vigil because the city of Edmond lost a part of its history when it lost "Bicycle Bob."

“This lady told me she gave him breakfast everyday for the past 20 years,” said Camps. “It’s pretty sad.”

The vigil was a chance to share a story and a memory of a man who few knew well, but many will miss.

Funeral arrangements are pending but the First Christian Church in Edmond has already offered to take care of the funeral and the expenses.

Travis Jim is in the county jail waiting to be formally charged with murder.
