OKLAHOMA CITY -- NEWS 9 got a sneak preview of the improvements at the Ford Center Sunday.

Fans can expect to see the new state-of-the-art scoreboard that is three times the size of the former scoreboard, not to mention upgraded video displays at the end of each arena.

Up in Loud City, more than 30 new flat screen TVs, redesigned floors and lighting offer a more fan friendly atmosphere.

The entire suite and club level was also updated, including 48 Terrace Suites and new lounges overlooking the seating bowl. The lower level showcases a new restaurant and bar area with high end finishes.

This basketball season, the Thunder players also have a new place to call home with their upgraded locker rooms.

The Ford Center plans to finish the final phase of renovations after the 2009-2010 Thunder season.

The Thunder play the Phoenix Suns in their preseason opener tonight at 7 p.m.
