ENID, Oklahoma – An Enid man has been charged with murder after an 8-month-old died from Shaken Baby Syndrome.
Terry Lee Ledbetter, 39, was charged Monday with first degree murder in the death of Morgan Stout.
According to court documents, Ledbetter called 911 on Sept. 29 to report that Morgan was not breathing. Morgan was transported to St. Mary's Hospital in Enid before being transported by Mediflight to INTEGRIS Medical Center in Oklahoma City where he died two days later.

Ledbetter told police that he left the child in his crib for less than a minute to take out the trash and when he returned the boy was unresponsive. Ledbetter later revised his story to say that the child had rolled over earlier and that may have caused his death, according to an affidavit.
Doctors at INTEGRIS told police the child's injuries were not consistent with Ledbetter's stories and the child's injuries were a result of severe shaking, the affidavit read.
