OKLAHOMA CITY – A man drove his car through a bridal store in north Oklahoma City.

The man drove his white Toyota through the JJ Kelly Bridal Store on 122nd Street and May Avenue.

"The driver of the car states that he was just parking the car and that it just suddenly accelerated on him," Oklahoma City Police Sgt. Robert Skalla said.

Sgt. Skalla said the driver, John Boland, thinks his car may be on the Toyota recall list concerning floor mats and gas pedals.

Patrick Kelly, the store's owner, said the store will stay open and try to keep appointments with brides as best they can during the cleanup process.

"People still get married," Kelly said. "We've been doing this for 37 years and it's not our first time at the rodeo, so we're going to be resuming business."

No injuries were reported.

"We are especially thankful we were closed, because that area is right where bride's fittings, that would have been a large tragedy, because we do the majority of our business right where the car when through," Kelly said.

The crash occurred before the store was opened for the day.
