OWASSO, OK -- Organizers with the Owasso Feline Rescue say they can't believe someone stole the group's credit card in broad daylight during a recent adopt-a-thon.

One minute they were helping people adopt a new cat, the next minute they're wondering where the credit card had gone. Now the Owasso Feline Rescue wants to know what kind of person would steal from an animal rescue group.

Annette Sanders is a true cat lover. For 10 years she's organized the Owasso Feline Rescue and found homes for more than 9,000 cats.

But last month, during an adoption event here at Owasso's Southern Agriculture her wallet was stolen.

"Oh my gosh, I was furious," Sanders said.

Inside were pictures of her children, her personal credit cards, and the credit card that paid for everything to keep these cats safe until they get adopted.

"I'm mad, and I feel like I've been invaded, you know - when somebody's going through your personal property and touching pictures of your child," said Annette Sanders, founder of Owasso Feline Rescue.

Owasso Police are looking for the woman wearing pink in this surveillance photo. They say she used the credit card four times that afternoon, charging $344 in cigarettes and other small items in Tulsa.

"She even bought a hot dog at QuikTrip and ate it, you can see her eating it on the video," Sanders said.

Sanders says the woman also racked up more than $1,500 on her personal credit cards. But she's more upset that the card used to rescue Owasso's abandoned cats was stolen while she was trying to find them new homes.

"I would ask her what kind of person are you?" Sanders said. "What's wrong with you? Are you that non-human? It said Owasso Feline Rescue right on the card in big letters just like it does any other credit card because it's their card, not mine."

Sanders hopes other women learn from her mistake and make sure they don't leave their purse or wallet just lying around.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Owasso Police Department.
