OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma City police are trying to crack down on vendors selling beer to minors at the State Fair.
Over the weekend, officers ticketed several people for selling alcohol to minors. In one instance, they saw an underage guy walk up to a booth and leave with bottle of beer, no questions asked.
"Often times, we're sending in somebody, an undercover person, going in to buy it, somebody that's under the age of 21. And in some cases people don't even check ID at all, they just sell it to them," said Oklahoma City Police MSgt. Gary Knight.
The underage drinking crackdown is part of an Oklahoma City Police Department program called 2M2L.
