Chain Reaction Wrecks Slow Traffic On Turner Turnpike

OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Oklahoma Highway Patrol cleared the roadway after multiple accidents on westbound I-44 just east of the Oklahoma City gate, between mile markers 134-137, according to George Brown, OHP spokesperson.

The first accident took place at about 12:15 p.m. and subsequent wrecks were called "chain reaction" accidents.

The wrecks slowed game day traffic on Turner Turnpike westbound toNorman where the University of Oklahoma hosted the University of Tulsa at 3:30 p.m.
