OKLAHOMA CITY - Oklahoma City police are investigating a stabbing that took place on the northwest side of the city.
According to Oklahoma City Police Sgt. Gary Knight, the incident took place in front of the Westlake Hardware store on NW 23rd Street and Pennsylvania Avenue at about 1 p.m.
Police said two teens were walking near the store when two other teens jumped out of a vehicle nearby and attacked them. A 16-year-old was reportedly taken to a local hospital in stable condition after being stabbed and beaten with a bat.
"I mean they were fighting, I mean really going at it," witness Wanda Williams said. "And then the weapons came out. A bat, I saw a bat and then I saw a knife. And I saw one kid get hit with a bat and I saw one kid get stabbed."
One person is in police custody. Police said they are still searching for a second suspect.
No names have been released.
