12-Year-Old Killed in ATV Accident

OKLAHOMA CITY -- A 12-year-old was killed in an ATV accident in Pontotoc County Tuesday. 

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the boy, Robert Caleb Howard, was riding near the Wes Watkins Reservoir southwest of McCloud.

According to the accident report, Howard was driving the ATV in a field, when he went over a terrace and lost control of the vehicle.

The vehicle flipped over almost two times, before it landed on top of the 12-year-old.

Howard was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
