FON DU LAC, WI -- There are new developments in a situation that could bring nearly 850 jobs to Oklahoma.  The current proposal from Mercury Marine to its union workers expires at midnight.

If the two entities can't come to an agreement, the company could move those jobs to its non-union shop in Stillwater.  The union already voted no against that deal, but the Wisconsin community is hoping an incentive package will keep the manufacturer's headquarters in Fon du Lac.

"They may need a hero making a decision that is outside of the box and we're hopeful that someone's going to step forward and make that decision to keep these jobs in Fond du Lac," said Fon du Lac City Manager Tom Herre.

But, that doesn't look promising for Wisconsin workers, union leaders said on Saturday that negotiations are at a standstill.
