MUSKOGEE, Oklahoma - A federal court indictment has issued against a Stigler man accused of robbing a bank in Sallisaw earlier this year.

Federal prosecutors say Larry Eugene Walden allegedly took an unspecified amount of money from the National Bank of Sallisaw on or about April 30.

Authorities say the suspect entered the bank wearing a camouflage ball cap and a tan and green jacket or shirt.

Sallisaw Police Chief Shaloa Edwards says once inside the bank, the robber handed a teller a small, blue bank bag with a note attached that said "This is a holdup. I have a gun. Put all your money in the bag."

He never brandished a gun.

Fort Smith, Ark., police arrested Walden in June.
