STILLWATER, Oklahoma -- At least four students in Stillwater have been diagnosed with flu-like symptoms, but health officials at Oklahoma State University can't say for sure if it's the H1N1 virus.

The reported flu cases didn't meet the schools criteria for a diagnosis from the Oklahoma State Health Department, Shutt said. However since the school had them, the health department requested OSU send the samples in for testing anyway. Test results are not available yet.

The four students who fell ill were on the OSU campus last week for sorority-related events.

Each student was treated and released at the school's health clinic.

"We're just asking students to take their normal flu-precautions," said Shutt. "We're trying to control the hysteria out there. These flu cases were not severe."

The university's health services department sent out a letter to students detailing symptoms and flu precautions. Read the flu notice letter.
