Authorities Arrest Kansas Escapee

The Kay County Sheriff's Department, Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Kansas authorities spent the weekend searching for an escapee out of Kansas, but the suspect was arrested in Derby, Kansas.

OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Kay County Sheriff's Department, Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Kansas authorities spent the weekend searching for an escapee out of Kansas, but the suspect was found.

Jared Sanchez, 30, escaped from Sumner County Kansas around noon Saturday. Oklahoma Highway Patrol said Sanchez was found and arrested in Derby, Kansas.

The Sumner County Sheriff's office said Sanchez was jailed for a parole violation in another state.
