Arrest Warrant Issued Against Foster Mother Accused of Burning Child With Potato Masher

MIDWEST CITY, Oklahoma - An arrest warrant was issued Tuesday in connection to a child abuse complaint.

Joycelyn S. Louis, 72, has been accused of burning her foster child with a heated potato masher several times. The 9-year-old was diagnosed with second and third-degree burns on his arm and leg.

Louis' attorney, Gary Higginbotham, said bond arrangements will be made and she will be processed following her discharge from a medical facility where she is currently undergoing medical treatment.

Louis' discharge date is unknown.
