OKLAHOMA CITY -- At a secret location in Oklahoma City a popular rock band is shooting its first music video.

The group is called Aranda. That's the last name of some of the band members who are staying true to their Oklahoma roots.

It's not every day that you get to step foot on a set for a music video, and for this band, it's not every day that you shoot one. After all, this is their first time.

Creating a music video is almost shooting a mini-movie. There's the director the actors and when they're not in the scene, the band's watching from the sidelines.

"Right now, it's like you're walking through this dream you didn't think could happen and you're watching it happen," singer Gabe Aranda said. "That's exciting."

Gabe and his brother Dameon started playing together when they were young kids. This is a dream come true.

"All of a sudden you realize, ‘Wow, we're actually making a living doing this' and that's what's cool, that's all we've ever wanted anyway is to make a living doing this," Dameon Aranda said.

Their song," Why Ya Wanna Bring Me Down," is already rocking radio stations and Kelly Clarkson, former American Idol Winner, covered it on her new album, along with another Aranda song.

"Just blessed, you know, fortunate luck, honestly and grateful would probably be our band's motto right now," Gabe said.

Lucky for Oklahoma City, the rock band decided to come home and shoot the video.

"Everybody's gotta have pride in something," Dameon said. "When you're born somewhere, you live somewhere, you know the people you love, the people, that's what we're kinda about."

Just like Oklahomans, the band members are grounded, not letting the recent success go to their heads.

"We realize there's a lot of luck that has to take place along with talent, we feel very fortunate now to get a few breaks," Gabe said. "We'll ride it and see what happens."

The WWE will use an Aranda song as its theme song for an event called "The Bash."

Aranda's new CD is for sale at BestBuy. You can also download their songs on iTunes, or check out the band on their MySpace page.
