OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma City police are trying to put the heat on a burglary suspect. He broke into a metro couple's home, but before leaving, he left behind some incriminating evidence, which police are hoping to use to catch the crook.

It's been almost a month since the break-in took place. Police are still searching for the suspects, so police are now releasing the evidence in hopes residents can help catch them.

Safiyyah Battles is missing five TVs from her home, and what's worse is she saw the burglars casing her house in broad daylight, but thought they were just lost.

"They kept looking out the window. I was thinking they can't find an address. They had the windows down because they can't see through the tint," Battles said.

Instead, the suspects were waiting for the perfect time to bust down the door. As soon as Safiyyah and her husband left, the thieves moved in.

In about 10 minutes, they managed to also make off with computers, jewelry and even the kids' new tennis shoes. The experience hasn't been easy.

"Just knowing some strangers have been running through my house...all that stuff is going to come back, but it don't feel the same in here to me no more," Sheldon Battles said.

But in this case, one of the suspects accidentally left behind his cell phone. On it is a picture of himself.

"How dumb can you be? You're better off just leaving your wallet on my counter," said Sheldon Battles.

"Usually a person perpetrating a crime will leave some type of evidence behind, but it's usually not a picture of themselves, so this one is rather unique in that way," said Oklahoma City Police Sgt. Gary Knight.

Police are hoping the picture can help solve the crime. The Battles hope the suspects are caught before someone gets hurt.

If you recognize the man in the picture, you're asked to call Crime Stoppers, 235-7300.
