OKLAHOMA CITY -- A man, who reported that his wife was shot during a home invasion, was charged in her death.

David Hammond,44, was charged Monday with one count of first-degree murder and one count of possession of a firearm after a felony conviction in the death of Delola Hammond, 41.

David initially told police that two Hispanic males had entered the home and shot his wife on June 30.

According to a probable cause affidavit, police found two guns in the trash can next to the front porch.

One of the guns was a loaded 22 caliber pistol, which matched a shell casing officers found in the living room where Delola was shot.

Delola's sister told police that Delola and her husband were having a heated argument prior to the incident.

Prior to his arrest, David told police there were no firearms or holsters inside the home at any time.

Police found a holster in the bedroom.
