Secret Ingredient Chocolate Chip Cookies
My sister gave me this recipe and once I saw it had cream cheese in it, I had to try it! You don't really taste it, but it makes the cookie rich and moist.
1 cup butter (unsalted)
4 oz cream cheese
1 cup dark brown sugar
3/4 cups sugar
1 egg
2 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
6 to 8 oz milk chocolate chips
Soften cream cheese and butter and blend together. Blend in brown sugar and sugar until smooth. Add egg and vanilla: blend. Add flour, salt, and baking soda. Then add chocolate chips. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
**Note: I made a few variations when making the recipe. I put in more chocolate chips (about 12 oz) and I added chopped pecans (about 1/2 cup). And I used 1/3 fat cream cheese.
I also have a convection oven so I dropped the temperature to 360 degrees and baked for 8-9 minutes.
Enjoy!
