OKLAHOMA CITY -- Many Oklahoma drivers have received notifications in the mail for not paying tolls, even though their accounts may be full.

Authorities said drivers are getting newly designed Oklahoma license plates, but not updating the new plate number with PikePass.

When drivers go through the toll booths, the computers don't recognize the plate number, which could cause problems.

Commuters are asked to update their information with PikePass.

"We ask that they don't call right away because we don't need 300,000 people calling us tomorrow afternoon when they can't get through to begin with," said Jack Damrill of the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority.

Some people may be able to update their information online.

Visit the PikePass Web site to update your new license plate number.

Authorities said the call volume should decrease in about a week.
