OKLAHOMA CITY -- The pharmacist accused of first-degree murder for shooting a would-be robber six times has been released from jail on bail.

Bond was set at $100,000 for pharmacist Jerome Ersland by Oklahoma County District Judge Tammy Bass-LeSure Thursday. Ersland's attorney, Irven Box, says Bass-LeSure also ordered Ersland to surrender his gun.

Erslund is charged in the May 19 death of 16-year-old Antwun Parker. A security video shows two men bursting into the pharmacy.

Watch the video for yourself and listen to the DA's explanation.

Parker is shot and Ersland chases the second man outside. He then walks past Parker to get a second gun, returns to Parker and opens fire.

Oklahoma County District Attorney David Prater said that Ersland was justified in shooting Antwun Parker once in the head on May 19. But Prater says Ersland went too far when he shot Parker five more times in the abdomen while Parker lay unconscious on the floor.

Had Ersland's first shot been fatal, he would not face charges under Oklahoma's Stand Your Ground Law, Prater said.
