OKLAHOMA CITY -- The flu outbreak topped the President's prime-time press conference Wednesday night, capping his first 100 days in office.

Representative Mary Fallin (R-Oklahoma) credits President Obama for his inclusiveness, saying he has reached out to Congressional Republicans for input on various issues, but she also said Obama's first 100 days is clouded by his excessive spending.

In the poll released by SoonerPoll.com, 48 percent of Oklahomans said they disapproved of the president's job.

President Obama marked his first three months by holding a prime-time press conference where he praised the recently passed-budget resolution.

"This budget builds on the steps we have taken over the past 100 days to move this economy from recession to recovery and ultimately to prosperity," Obama said.

Obama also set goals for the auto industry.

"I would like to get the U.S. out of the auto business as quickly as possible," President Obama said.

He also discussed the controversial treatment of terror suspects.

"I believe that waterboarding was torture," Obama said.

Overall, the president said his administration accomplished quite a bit in the short term, but republicans are worried about the long-term ramifications.

"During the first 100 days of his presidency, we've also seen the largest expansion of the federal government, the largest spending we've seen in our nation's history," Representative Fallin said.

See what else Representative Fallin had to say about the Obama administration's progress.

Fallin wasn't referring to the rebuilding of the nation's infrastructure, the first of which got underway this week in Oklahoma. She said republicans largely supported that measure, but other stimulus projects were deemed unnecessary.

"These are certainly challenging times for our nation, but there are those of us who believe that you cannot borrow tax and spend our way out of a recession," Fallin said.

In the age of the wildly-popular president, those concerns may be largely ignored.

"People are just basically saying, ‘Talk to the hand. We just don't want to hear from you, we're going to go this way and we're going to give this guy a change to do this,'" NEWS 9 Political Analyst Scott Mitchell said.

President Obama scored high marks in a Wall Street Journal poll, but another poll revealed a different perspective of Oklahomans.
