OKLAHOMA CITY -- An Oklahoma City high school claims a local party bus allowed a number of its students to drink alcohol on the way to last weekend's prom.

Chris Brewster, Principal of Santa Fe South Schools, Inc., said several students were detained at the prom after they showed up drunk.

The students were each given a breathalyzer test at the school, which showed positive results for intoxication.

"They were stumbling and it was very clear they were intoxicated", said Brewster.

Brewster said the students were dropped by a large party bus, and he's upset the driver of the bus may have allowed the students to drink on the way.

Brewster wants the driver to be held accountable for the students' conditions.

"I think there is a bus driver and a company that seemed to take advantage of the fact that students would like an anonymous opportunity to become inebriated and roll around and be safe from adult supervision," Brewster said.

He's contacted local police and lawmakers to find out what can be done to better regulate these party buses.

The owners of at least two other party buses said the incident is why parents should only do business with a legit company that is insured.

The school has suspended some of those students who were drunk and removed a number of them from their extracurricular activities.
