OWASSO, OK -- Wives may not always agree, but many guys say they need their very own "man cave" -- a theatre room, a souped-up garage, a place in the house to relax and unwind.

Many of those man caves will be on display this weekend at a unique event in Owasso.

Stone Canyon is a 3,000-acre neighborhood taking shape in Owasso. Over the weekend, many of the custom built homes will be open.

But the builders don't just want you to see the homes. They want you to see the rooms sure to catch a guy's eye.

Seven man caves, fully equipped by area vendors, will be on display, including a theatre room with giant screen, surround-sound, plush leather chairs and enough cup holders and space for all of the munchies.

"I think it's a great place to just escape, shut the doors," said Sharon Baker, Stone Canyon general manager. "You're in a nice dark room, just like you would be in a regular theatre."

In addition to the theatre, there are billiard rooms, a golf-themed man cave, the cowboy-up room, which is decked out in western art and western décor, a poker room and the gladiator garage, complete with roll-in cabinets, stocked fridge and leather chairs.

"The gladiator garage is great for any man who wants to just tinker around with their toys," Baker said.

Builder Bill Holler with Dayspring Custom Homes says custom man caves are becoming more common.

"We put a little more in each year...and people actually I think are staying home more, and entertaining in their home more," Holler said.

If you want to see the latest in modern day man caves, event organizers hope you will visit.

"We call it man caves, but I have a feeling it becomes a she cave at some point as well," Baker said.

Stone Canyon is on 76th Street North and 193rd East Avenue in Owasso. The event is 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and 1-4 p.m. Sunday.
