Economy Affecting Health, Sleep

OKLAHOMA CITY - The economy is certainly taking a toll on the nation's health. A new study shows as Americans lose retirement and jobs, they might also be losing sleep.

It is recommended that you see a doctor if you've had sleep issues for more than a month.

Although having a sleep study can be stressful and mean you may have to make life changes, but getting a healthy night's sleep is important to your body's overall well being.

Most doctors do not recommend over the counter medication to treat sleep issues, but keeping a sleep diary or creating a relaxing bedtime ritual may help you get your sleep patterns back on track.
