After an awful cold weekend, temperatures will be on the up this work week; way up. A ridge of high pressure building eastward into the Central Plains Monday will help dislodge and disperse the Canadian air, which surged in Friday and Saturday.
With temperatures reaching the 70s and 80s Wednesday and Thursday, along with windy and dry conditions, the potential for wildfires will increase to very high levels. The hope for rain remains bleak through the work week with only a slight chance of much needed moisture next Sunday.
