EDMOND, Oklahoma -- The first annual Tweet-a-thon, hosted by Twitter.com, raised over $20,000 for an Edmond based charity.
The 12-hour live web-based broadcast started Thursday around 11 a.m. central time. The goal was to raise awareness and funds Waterislife.com.
The CEO said the event was a success. Not only did they raise funds, but waterislife.com provides individual water filters to those who don't have clean water around the world.
