7-year-old Hit By SUV

Del City police said a 7-year-old who ran away from home was hit by an SUV Wednesday.

DEL CITY, Oklahoma -- Del City police said a 7-year-old who ran away from home was hit by an SUV Wednesday.

The Del City Police Capt. Jody Suit said the 7-year-old is at OU Children's Hospital with substantial injuries, but his injuries are not life-threatening.

Del City police arrested the SUV driver, 34-year-old Vernon James Bills. Bills was charged with driving with a suspended drivers license and for driving under the influence.
