TULSA, OK -- With Valentine's Day only two days away, the "shopping challenged" may need assistance.

Many men admit women are better shoppers. For guys who are nervous about shopping for the woman in their life, there may be some relief.

"We say shopping's a different language sometimes for men," said Lisa DeJarnette at Ribbons On Peoria. "They don't want to mess up. Valentine's Day comes with a lot of pressure."

This year, DeJarnette wants to take the pressure off. Call the store, and the employees will do the shopping.

"We gift-wrap for free," she said. "We deliver for free. That's made people call even more."

DeJarnette said a man called, wanted a piece of clothing and jewelry for his wife and something for each of his two daughters. She asked a few questions, came up with a colorful top and some earrings.

Someone wanting a gift for his wife could get a new purse, a candle, a big gift or a small gift.

The store also has items for men.

"Every guy needs a bug bottle opener that will stick to the refrigerator or the galvanized tub," DeJarnette said.

Ribbons is at 3525 S. Peoria Ave. and can be reached at 743-7599. The store delivers in Tulsa.
