NORMAN, Oklahoma -- Three suspects were arrested after a high speed police chase south of Norman Wednesday morning.

The pursuit began after McClain County Deputy James Harryman said he pulled over a pick-up truck on Interstate 35. The truck was stolen in Oklahoma City two days before, police said. The suspects reportedly sped off after making a threatening gesture toward the deputy and trying to run him down.

"The vehicle started coming towards me. I spun away from the vehicle into traffic, shot one time at the vehicle's rear tire," McClain County Sheriff's Deputy James Harryman said.

The shot hit a tire and flattened it.

Running on three tires, the driver sped through Purcell. The chase reached high speeds along Interstate 35. The chase ended at Floyd's RV Service at the Goldsby exit, where one suspect was arrested. The vehicle drove through a fence surrounding the RV business.

"I saw the truck come swerving through here, and then he hit the fence. He just barely missed our concord. And when he hit that fence, it sounded like an explosion," Jennifer Miller with Floyd's RV said.

Norman police and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol arrested the other two suspects after a search of the area.

The final suspect was found hiding in one of the RV center's trailers.

"He did put up some resistance. He didn't want to comply. He tried to throw some fists. It obviously didn't work. We took him down, and somebody tazered him. I don't know who. And we ended up getting him in custody," McClain County Reserve Deputy Lt. Randy Kittrell said.

The suspects have been identified as 44-year-old Jana Kay Swanson, 31-year-old Chad Griffin and 37-year-old Brandon Hale. They are currently being held in the McClain County Jail.

All have criminal records, and Griffin was just recently released from prison.
