Tulsa Church Gives Back through Patrons

Posted: Updated:

TULSA, Oklahoma -- One Oklahoma church is giving away its version of stimulus money, but it's not what you think.

Sunday, Connection Church gave away free money to each family there, but the catch is that the families must give the money to someone in need.

"The economy has done one thing for us and that's helped us see that there are people in need. People lose their jobs, people have had their salaries cut back, and even organizations, charitable organizations are not getting the donations that they have been getting, so it's just a great we for us, we believe as Christ's followers, to do what God called us to do and that's help other people," Pastor Brad Farnsworth said.

The church said it hopes the experiment teaches its members about how important it is to give back.
