Board Will Not Move Pride Parade

Posted: Updated:

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Protests and threats of a boycott are keeping the city's annual gay Pride Parade where it's always been.

Earlier this week, dozens voiced their opposition to the idea of moving the annual parade to Remington Park.

OKC Pride, Incorporated said the board has decided to keep the parade near the area of NW 39th and Pennsylvania Avenue.

The group is, however, still looking for a new place to hold its two-day festival, since the park where the festival is being held is under renovation.
