MIAMI, Florida - Tonight's National Championship could be Quarterback Sam Bradford's last game as a Sooner.

The Web site National Football Post is reporting Sam Bradford will declare for the NFL draft.

NEWS 9 Sports Director Dean Blevins has the following thoughts:

The Sam Bradford story is a major story. The fact no major news outlet is reporting that he is leaving OU early is suspicious. However, after vacillating on the matter for some time, I now believe he will be playing his final game as a Sooner at tonight's National Championship game.

Three NFL veterans told me independently this afternoon that Bradford would not be able to turn down the NFL money. They said personnel people with two clubs told them Bradford is definitely the number one quarterback prospect and would be a very high first-round pick.

Two of the three said their management told them Detroit would select Bradford with the first overall pick.

Barring injury or something unforeseen, it is difficult to imagine Bradford being able to say no - something I truly believe he'd prefer to do - to the business side of the NFL.
