WEST SILOAM SPRINGS, Oklahoma -- An eastern Oklahoma town in danger of losing its ambulance service because it couldn't pay the bill has received a special Christmas donation.

An anonymous donor will now pay for the ambulance service until the town can fund it.

Mayor Elaine Carr said the donor will pay monthly for the service, which is close to $17,000.

The city hopes to approve a 1-cent sales tax to help pay for the service.
