OKLAHOMA CITY -- In these tight economic times, everyone is cutting back. Companies across the state are scaling back holiday parties or canceling them altogether.

But some employees are celebrating despite the tough times by letting loose with co-workers in local bars and dives.

"Trying to let loose, have a good time, let the job go not worry about it, just have a good time," Wesley Hunter said.

Hunter's company Christmas party was cancelled this year due to the economy. A blow to hard working Oklahomans, even Santa Claus disapproves.

"That is unacceptable. Christmas is a very special time of year and everybody should party hardy for Christmas," Santa said.

Local caterers have seen a big change this Christmas compared to years' past. Johnnies Catering is preparing the same food for parties, but in a different way by going with buffet styles and less fancy fare.

However, some companies are opting to celebrate the New Year, with catering companies seeing more bookings in January.
