DELAWARE COUNTY, Okla. -- A Delaware County deputy was shot during a standoff at a home late Friday evening.

Officers were called to a home where two boys were shot at and one was hit by the suspect.

Police found the suspect, William Demoss, barricaded in an outbuilding behind his mother's home. While police were securing the scene, Demoss fired at police and hit Sheriff's Deputy Rick Pike in the hip.

Pike's injury isn't life threatening.

Demoss has been arrested and faces three charges of shooting with intent to kill. His mother, Virginia Logan, was also arrested for obstruction of justice and harboring a fugitive.

Demoss has an outstanding arrest warrant in Delware County for assault and battery from 2004.

It is still unclear why Demoss shot at the 17-year-old victim and the 9-year-old, who was uninjured in the incident.

Demoss and his mother will appear in district court Monday morning to be arraigned.
