Oklahomans Feel Small Earthquake

Many metro residents reported feeling a small earthquake Monday evening.

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Many metro residents reported feeling a small earthquake Monday evening.

The Oklahoma Geological Survey Observatory reports the earthquake measured 2.7 in magnitude.

A resident who lives near Sooner Road and Reno Avenue reported feeling a tremor around 9 p.m. Ester Cave said the shaking lasted only a few seconds.

Brian Baker, who lives near NE 20 and Grand Boulevard, reported feeling his bed shake and thought his neighbor had hit something outside.

The earthquake was felt in large area northeast of Warr Acres and northwest of Nichols Hills.

There are no reports of damage or injuries.
