OKLAHOMA CITY -- A police officer and one victim were injured in a two vehicle car crash near SW 85 Street and May Avenue, authorities said.

The officer was on his way to a potential burglary, but did not have his lights or siren on, authorities said. Another car pulled out in front and the officer collided with the side of the second vehicle.

Emergency crews were on the scene to free the officer who was trapped in his vehicle.

The force of the crash pushed the second vehicle into a backyard where it knocked over a gas meter. ONG was called to the scene to assess the damaged gas meter.

The officer and other driver were transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
