OKLAHOMA CITY -- The online Web site Craigslist has recently been tapped by officials due to hundreds of ads pertaining to questionable and illegal service.

Gary Good, a well-known businessman in Nichols Hills, was arrested in August on charges of soliciting prostitution by using Craigslist.

"The internet allows people to do things anonymously and often they are illegal things," said Jane Wheeler of the Oklahoma Attorney General's Office.

To help identify whose selling sex, Craigslist now require users posting an ad under the "erotic services" section. They have to provide a working telephone number and a credit card payment to post the advertisement.

If illegal services are suspected, Craigslist can then provide the newly required information to law enforcement.

The site is trying to weed out the legitimate services from what many consider to be online prostitution.
