OKLAHOMA CITY -- Movie making is becoming more and more common in Oklahoma. Local actors got their chance at a big break during a weekend audition for a movie being shot in the metro.

In an unassuming bar in north Oklahoma City, hopeful actors take a last minute look at their script.

Behind a pair of glass doors in the bar sat the writers and producers, who hold the fate of some future actors.

"The primary thing we are looking for is the ability to hit their mark, focus and form a real openness with the camera," writer and producer Jack Roberts said.

With production slated to start in November for ‘The Rock and Roll Dream of Duncan Christopher,' time is precious and impressions have to be made quick.

"I am shocked at how willing everyone is to really kind of bare themselves, and all of their eccentricities on the lens of the camera, just for a role in a feature film," Roberts said.

The production crew shot the auditions so they could be studied later to determine who might get their big break.

"We would like to give a jump start to some actor in the film," Roberts said. "We've seen some rally talented people today and yesterday as well."

Who knows, one of these local rising stars may have seen the next big thing.

The film will start production in a few weeks, with shooting locations in Tulsa and Oklahoma City.
