I-240 hammered with overnight wrecks

OKLAHOMA CITY -- A string of wrecks on Interstate 240 left at least five cars damaged.

The first crash temporarily shut down all lanes of eastbound traffic while emergency crews worked to free an occupant from the three-car pileup.

The second wreck involved two vehicles in the westbound lanes.

There were at least two more collisions, one of which involved an OHP patrol car.

No injuries or fatalities were reported in regard to any of the noted wrecks.
