OKLAHOMA CITY -- Two people were injured after a two vehicle crash at Midwest Boulevard and Britton Road early Thursday evening.

Police do not know what caused the wreck, and the victim's names have not been released.

Police were forced to shut down traffic along Britton Road for some time, and one resident was not happy about it.

Paramedics responding to the accident got blindsided when a guy ran up and started hitting them. EMSA and police wrestled Richard Hawkins to the ground after he punched a paramedic.

"He threatened to kill us and that was really about it. Most of it was screaming and yelling, and I couldnt understand what he was saying," EMSA paramedic Jason Duncan said.

Police said Hawkins was under the influence of drugs at the time, but was not incolved in the crash. He was arrested for assault and battery.
