OKLAHOMA CITY -- In just a few days thousands will descend upon the Bricktown Ballpark for a good cause, but one team is likely to stick out.

With about 70 teams and over 1,000 members racing in the Race for the Cure this weekend, Team INTEGRIS will be the biggest team hitting the streets this year, and it's not the first time.

Team INTEGRIS has about 1100 racers in all, and counting, and are ready to sport different colored shirts.

The race goes beyond the tops and the trophy. The Race for the Cure is remembering those lives lost to cancer and honoring those who lived through it.

"I've been cancer free for three years," Val Reeves said.

Reeves is a survivor like many others who work at INTEGRIS. Studies show one in eight women will have breast cancer and Reeves never thought in her life she'd become a statistic.

"Little did I know in January of 2006 that I would be diagnosed with breast cancer," Reeves said.

With the help of the INTEGRIS Cancer Center, support through friends, family and faith, she was able to take one stride at a time, with this race for herself and many others.

"We have all been touched by breast cancer either personally through a co-worker or through a friend," Race for the Cure Participant Sylvia Dillard said.

With her friend Reeves, Sylvia will be with Team INTEGRIS uniting as one to find a cure.

"It's just so special to see that and when you see the survivors go through their special line and get the roses, some of the survivors just, this may be the last race they may ever walk, but they are going to do it and they're hoping for that cure," Reeves said.

The Race for the Cure will take place at the Bricktown Ballpark this Saturday.
