FORT GIBSON, Okla. -- A former Fort Gibson city official has been charged with five felonies and two misdemeanors for allegedly pawning city property.
Former utilities supervisor Christopher Gauntt faces felony counts of embezzling a laptop computer, a power washer and an air compressor.
He also faces felony charges of false declaration of ownership and misdemeanor charges of taking a pole saw and scrap metal.
Police say Gauntt has admitted in writing to taking the items and pawning them.
Gauntt resigned Aug. 11 and is currently free on $5,000 bond.
